The Rhythm Rockets are teaming up with the Floating On A Melody Ballroom to offer a monthly Swing night for all ages. It's a fantastic place where dancers come to dance--and that means offering great music, a comfortable ballroom with a spacious floor, and providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Doors open at 7:15PM, The fabulous John Puskar will offer a Swing dance lesson at 7:30PM followed by live music from 8:00PM-11:00PM.
$20 cover charge, we will be following the CDC guidelines in regards to masking for indoors
Don't dance? Not a problem, you are welcome to come and listen/watch, there are plenty of tables on the floor level and on the balcony level.
This venue is a “safe zone” meaning no alcohol is for sale. They do sell water. Patrons are invited to bring there own non-alcoholic beverage, within reason, no large coolers please.
Dress to impress! Please no jeans, sweats or gym shoes. We request that only dance shoes be worn on the dance floor. Free street parking is available on Ogden Avenue and nearby side streets. There is also a city parking lot around the corner on Amelia Avenue.
There are a few nice restaurants nearby if you need a bite to eat.
P.J. Klem’s, one block south, is a sit-down restaurant with reasonably priced meals. They also sell awesome homemade fudge in several flavors. The owner Tula is a friend of ours and is very welcoming. Let her know we sent you.
Pop’s, also one block south, offers Italian beef, hamburgers, hot dogs and a variety of soups and salads.
Waterworks Tavern, located one block north, has great pizza
